i have fuel and spark, i checked the fuel pressure and the min is 70 psi, the coils are with in speck and produce good spark.
i just used the s5 motor and senors... and used the wiring harnes and ecu that came with my car.
i got it run once and it sounded like the it was running on only one rotor... smoked for like 20min...
how do i know if it was running to rich....?
could it be flooding its self out?

Wow bro. Sorry to hear about all of the misfortune. If I were you I would would take the injectors and check and see if they seem to be flowing ok. You can do this by partially taking the injectors out and turning the key. See if you have a nice flow on the primaries. Also, check your fuel pump and fuel filter. Check your spark plugs they could be fouled if the engine was flooded (starting fluid is more combustible than gas and ignites easier.)

i'm havin almost the same issue...
'88 TII that was sitting for about 5 years. Cleaned it out and replaced all vacuum lines, collant, spark plugs, etc. The car starts every now and then but not on a constant basis. We've unfloded it and have also tried starting it with the Fuel Pump Relay out. Any suggestions anyone? Oh and we replaced the fuel pump and are swapping the fuel filter becasue it seems like the car is not getting gas... Can someone please call me and help me out. 407-405-8361

About your seventy psi fuel pressure. Is that the rail pressure OR is that with a gauge dead ended to the line coming out of the fuel filter.
Seventy psi is WAY to high for just rail pressue and is a indication that you've go the fuel rails or ?????? connected wrong.
If you just looking at the pressure coming from the fuel filter and the gauge is deadended in that line, then forget the above.
OR.......with the fuel pump check connector jumpered and the key to ON only, can you hear the fuel passing thru the fuel rails and retuning to the tank. YOu should be able to hear that. IF not, there's troubles with the fuel routing.
NOTE: The fuel lines are just the opposite on a JDM engine. Swap them around if your new engine is JDM. swap where they attach to the engine, just after the fuel filter.
