steering wheel?

Phillips screw driver and a 17mm? ratchet is all you need. Take out the 3 screws holding the horn cover on from the back and unbolt the center bolt on the steering wheel. Make sure your wheels are 100% straight or when you put the wheel back on your allignment will be off. You'll have to pull on the wheel pretty hard to get it off so just unscrew the bolt a couple of turns so that when it does pop loose it doesn't hit you in the face. Reverse directions to reinstall. A "racing" wheel should be just as easy as an OE wheel.

You can not just bolt the wheel back on. It must be aligned with the position sensor tabs.

Most aftermarket steering wheels require a hub adapater. You need to make sure you get one specific to the FC or FD so that it has the provision for the position sensor.
The steering position sensor is used by the turn signals and power steering system (if equipped). It tells the switch to turn off the turn signals when you complete a turn and tells the power steering computer what angle the steering wheel is at. The power steering system will not work correctly without the position sensor working, and will default to 50% boost at all times instead of variable boost only at below 40 MPH.
