Ok so I guess its my turn. I just turned over the 1000 post mark today. It sure has taken me a long time. I have been on this board for coming up on two years now. Ever since the posts in the lounge counted towards your total. My how times have changed, especially in this, my home away from home the second gen forum. When I first came here I knew next to nothing. I was kind and polite while asking what I am sure where dumb questions. I got thoughtful and insightful answers and I learned a lot. People put up with my constant questions. No one screamed at me to search. No one told me I was dumb for not already knowing. No one told me to go buy a Honda.

There was a lot of knowledge floating around. Theoretical ideas where discussed on a daily or at least weekly basis. People where always willing to try new things, didn't matter if an "expert" or "professional" thought it was ok first. If it seemed plausible someone was going to try it. That and people seemed far more open to the idea that it is your car, and you do to it what you think will work and what makes you happy.

Moderation was not greater, but that was only due to the fact it wasn't necessary. People used some common sense. They didn't post endless flame wars. They let others have a right to a difference opinion. I know its a message board and **** happens but try to live and let live a little bit. That is one reason why my post count has gone up so slowly. I try to keep out of useless arguments.

Anyway I do still enjoy my time here, despite the perponderance of children who never leave the lounge. The second gen forum is my rx-7 bible and anything I might need is here if I just ask, or if I search and then ask. Assuming its not a crime against the rotary in someones book or its hasn't been "discussed a million times".

Keep up the mostly good work, and keep on spinning.
