starting and running problems with my 87 TII
Hey guys.. I'm having problems with my rx7.. here's the problems.. once i start the the car the engine wont hold an idle, i have to keep my foot on the gas until the engine warms up a little then it idles fine, it drives fine.... but once it sit idle for about 10-15 mins the engine cuts off and wont start, i have to let the car sits for about an hour or so then i have to do the same thing again for it to hold idle.... i've checked for vacuum leaks dont see or hear any, change the plugs,oil and air filter you guys have any suggestion what could be the problem??? thanks Roc

Check the ground wires. I know of a problematic one that goes from the tranny to the passenger side firewall. Have you changed the fuel filter??? Also you might have to clean the BAC valve. When your 7 is maintaining idle, crank on the heater on high. Did the rpms stumble, of worse did the car die. If it did then the BAC needs to be cleaned. Dont quote me, but check with some other fellow rotorheads before you completely trust me.
