Starting car after 2 months

Well I'll be starting my car soon enough. Its been sitting for like 2 months. I'm hoping I didn't lose any compression, but what can I do to ensure that? Add a little ATF in the plug holes? Is that really needed? Or is 2 months not that long? Thanks.

Hehe Well, 2 months sure isn't as long as 1+ years but I would still watch out. Mine, which has been sitting for 1+ years, had the oil separate and the rear rotor leak some coolant into it but I doubt yours is that bad. Pull all of the plugs and check to see what they look like. Then grab a 19mm socket and wrench and lightly rotate the engine by hand and see if you can do it with the plugs out. If you can and you hear nice sounding compression it is probably fine. Just put a little ATF in there and manually crank it with no plugs in. Then slap them in and fire it up.

If it doesn't turn by hand easily keep putting ATF in there and manually crank it back and forth to get the seals loose. Hopefully you can get them all loose.

When you get it going just treat it gently and changing the oil would always be a good idea.

Ya I know 2 months isn't too long. But I still am worried and want to take as many precautions as possible. Especially since I'll be blowing my money on it to make it faster.
