Was it doing this before you replace the starter? If not it sounds like the soleniod in the starter might be flakey. If you got a reconed one it might be bad, take it back and get another.

Make sure the bolts didn't back out on ya. If it is bad I am sure they will take it back, and atleast get you another one, prolly not a refund though.

Sure you didn't get the bolts mixed up or something? I seem to remember them being different sizes, though it has been like 3 years since I touched a TII with a wrench.

what cables could i need? the batt cable is brand new from when i relocated it into the hatch,
one thing that i did notice today was that i went to get my dad a card. and left my lights on when i went in the building, came out 5 minutes later, adn the car was dead. wtf, could my batt just not be holding a charge?

anybody else know?? i mean the thing is slow starting sometimes, like it will start to slowly turn over click a little and then crank. Today i got out the meter adn checked the batt volt. 12.4 sitting, 14.2 running, and about 7.4 trying to start. and just sitting with the lights on and the car not running i droped 1volt in a minute?? Is this good? i don't think it is, seems kinda fast to drop voltage.

Ok, I guess its not the cables. You should have your battery tested. Most corner auto stores have a tester. Some of the testers can even check your charging system. That'd be a place to start.

I would have the charging system checked on the car, you can go to autozone and the likes. You battery may be a little bit discharged if it shows 12.4 at rest. Have it fully recharged and see if pb goes away. The alt seems to be ok though since you get 14+ when idling. You can do an additional check on the alt and turn on headlights when idling, it should drop a tad and then go back up right away.
I remember reading a thread about your problem some time ago. Like you turn the key, it goes click click, and then finally cranks. I think the fellows with the problem had changed anything you can think of, and nothing. There was apparently no solution to the problem.
I am sure if you do a search on 'starter', you'll find it.
