Angry Start then stall problem!!!

HI, I been having a problem with my 87 turbo 2 when i crank the 7 it starts fine with good idle but the stalls right away. If i start it i have to keep feeding it gas to stay alive but when it get warm it holds the idle by its self. Its strange for me i new to the 7's i know there is no vac leaks i just got a new MAF so i know its not that. Can i get sum help please!

I hope that you do find an answer, because I have that EXACT same problem.

I'm assuming your BAC is either not connected or not functional, as is the case with mine (the connector broke, and its out of spec anyway). I've searched for vaccum leaks as well and was unable to find any.

I guess the next step is to check out the TB , perhaps the thermowax?

Just keep in mind that just because a part is new, that doesn't mean it is good. Chances are that it is. But, I always double check things. Just a little personal wisdom i've learned. lol. I don't have anything for you otherwise.. Do these engines have Idle air control valves. If so, it could be plugged with carbon, stuck closed, or just failed in general. Good luck.

Get a copy of the factory service manual at the link below and work through the troubleshooting matrix in section "F".

Its not hurting anything, its just a pain in the ***. I would have fixed this already, but this bitch hit me a lil over a year ago in a ford explorer so I've had more pressing problems to fix.

I'll probably be able to get to it soon though...
