Stalling Issue...
My buddies car is a 1987 TII the car will usually start up in the morning fine, but sometimes after a little city driving or if it's been sitting out in the sun, it will idle at very low rpms. Unless you rev it, it will die on you while your sitting at a red light or not pushing on the gas. He said he has taken it to a couple of mechanics and they've replaced the air induction hose and adjusted the idle timing, but the problem remains. He hasn't taken it to a RX-7 expert, so he may do that next but would like to see if you guys could help him out first.
Has anyone experienced this and know of any issues?

anyone else have any ideas? Also where is the BAC valve does anyone have pictures? I am going to try these in the next day or so and hopefully it will fix the problem.

Did you pull any error codes or see any check engine lights we can go by?
The shop manual has the procedure for troubleshooting idle problems, and it's usually spot on. Download it from:

You can often fix the problem by doing the basic maintenance, which saves you time & the hassel of trying to fix the direct problem. Bare minimum I'd do a tuneup including spark plugs, spark plug wires, new air filter, new fuel filter, oil change, new oilfilter, check timing.
Then I'd confirm the TPS is within the correct voltage ranges when warm and cold.
Then check for vacuum leaks, manifold leaks, AFM is plugged in and correct voltages.
Then you can look into all the idle assist systems (fast idle, A/C idle, fast warmup, main idle, Dashpot, ACV, BAC, etc..
