thought i might have fouled plugs with throttle body cleaner. i got some new ones i'll try tonight. after i pulled plugs and all that i found out about holding gas to floor. someone else suggested starting fluid. this is the first efi rotary i've had. i filled the carb on my 12a with seafoam one time and took a while cranking and new plugs to get it to go again.

sounds like it's flooded to me. With S5s if you push the pedal to the floor, it cuts fuel but keeps spark going so it'll start when it pushes enough fuel into the exhaust to actually combust.

how long do you usually have to turn it over for?

not too long, because you'll overheat your starter, but probably like 10 seconds

if that doesn't work, you can pull the EFI fuse (in the engine bay) and crank it for a while to try to clear it out and then replace and try to start.

if that doesn't work, you can do the same as above but take out the leading spark plugs too (bottom ones) so gas can come out of the spark plug holes too while you're cranking.

Heres a master tip you need to never forget. Take the plugs out and put about a teaspoon of oil in each of the lower holes, then put the plugs back in. Crank the car without touching the gas until you hear it start to sputter and fire on its own. Start tapping the gas to about 1/4-1/2 throttle until it is running fully.

ok. will try that. oiling seals usually worked on my fb. although it down the carb(which is easier). i pulled plugs and didnt see gas coming out. going to check fuel pump too but cant see that.

If the car won't start that way, you have a fuel delivery issue as spraying tb cleaner in the intake isnt going to kill your plugs.

to test fuel pump you just jump the yellow plug by rh fender and turn key on? (but not start)

Yes, that will allow the fuel pump to turn on without the engine running.
