the car is a 86 base. i sprayed some carb cleaner through my intake box, it smoked a little of course so i thought id take it out for a drive to help burn off the carb cleaner. well after driving 15 mins and taking it to 3500 rpms, shifting into the next gear and blowing a **** load of smoke on the road, it still smokes...........and heavily too. i only sprayed inside my box less than 5 times, 5 little taps of carb cleaner.

Ah, well you need a rebuild now, it doesn't have a carb, when the FI system detected carb cleaner it got mad at you for the feeding it the wrong stuff and killed the engine.
No, seriously, if it wasn't smoking before and is now, it shoud go away pretty soon, unless something did get damaged in the process, which is unlikely. Smoke colour is a good indicator of a problem. White = coolant/water, blue = oil for instance.

its all good now, i let it sit in my garage and then i went to bed. when i woke up in the morning i took it out for a drive it was all gone.
also i tried to fix my 3800 rpm hesitation by grounding the pressure sensor (it said in the FAQ only on 86's to ground the pressure sensor, which is what i have). i used the brown with black stripe btw (i searched and found out that was that actual ground, not black with white stripe) and strange enough my hesitation got worse, so i took that out and left it alone. i can tell my car has poor grounding all around because my instrument panels dont work sometimes, so i think im gonna buy an engine grounding kit to fix all that.
