Basically, yes, its functional. BUT if the looks of the stock spoiler urp your style then removing it will not suffer enough aerodynamic problems to really notice.

The Sport's aero package reduced the coefficient of drag (Cd) by .02 (.31 to .29). It also reduced the air resistance (Cd x A) by .036 (.56 to .524). It also reduced the rear lift coefficient by .07, down from .14.

i personally like the way mine feels w/o the rear spoiler on although i don't put mine past 100MPH and even then its not tuned enough yet to get past 4K rpm at 100MPH on a straight clean slightly downsloped superhighway
and yeh welding? like i'm going to pay a gazillion bucks for a welding rig?

+1 for wings
My car was modified by the late Donny Bowers in Salina Ks, but it all really comes down to preference. Toyo tires on Zenetti wheels, K&N modified intake, modified exhaust. and yep, the antenna misses it.

I like spoilers, it says something about the car. By far the majority if no all sports cars have spoilers, it makes the car look more agressive, and it's functional. I think talking a spoiler off of a car make s it look more bland, and less sporty. The spoilers is a symbol to let others know that you bought the sporty addition of the car!
