splice o2 sensor with terminal ?

Hey guys, I have quick question and would like your suggestions.
Been working on my 89 NA fc for couple months. Cause of work and school barley have time to work on it. Well I'm almost done but my o2 sensor female connector from the engine hardness broke.
And I been looking everywhere for this clip Nd I can't find it.

So I decided to splice the o2 sensor end and the engine hardness end ( female end ) and use electrical terminals.

This should work fine right ?
Thanks for your time and feedback.

as long as the wire is connected and an electrical signal is passed, then you can use whatever way to connect it that you wish.

Cool. Cause my only option was basically but a engine harness and to pay that money and way more time is not what I'm looking for.

So Ima end up cutting both ends and joining them together with electrical terminals.

Thanks for the feedback much appreciated to get a second opinion.
