speed bleeders dont work ... no fluid coming out
i just installed some speed bleeders on my rear tires, and was about to start the bleeding procedure ..
however no fluid is coming out of the speed bleeder screw ..
i tighted the screws up till they were nice and tight, and then backed them out about 1/2 turn or more like the website instructs ..
i've since pumped the brakes MANY times and NOTHING is coming out ... no bubbles, no fluid .. nothing
the master cylinder is full and hasnt lowered any in fluid level ..
the brake pedal will go all the way to the floor, and will bounce back ... it doesnt stick to the floor at all ...
what would cause this?
ive even tried backing the screws almost all the way out and still no fluid comes out ...
i replaced the master cylinder a while ago and havent touched anything else dealing with the brakes since ...
what would cause this??
help

Did you bench bleed the new master cylinder? If not, that is likely the problem. SpeedBleeders DO work! Open the screw up a little more and keep pumping. You should eventually get fluid and lots of air out of the bleeder screw. You will need to bleed the entire system starting with the RR and then the LR, RF and LF. Make sure the fluid in the master cylinder doesn't get too low or you will have to start over.

yea thats what it was ... i called my friend garfinkle and he said the same thing ..
i just removed two of the lines that go to the master cylinder and let most of the fluid drain out (paper napkin trap underneath )
sure enough next time around fluid started spurting .... im going to finish the job tommorrow, when i get to the front
which leads me actually to another question ...
if i replace the front two screws tommorrow will i have to bleed the system ALL over again , or just bleed the front?

EDIT: BTW, I have the speed bleeders on my FC and they work just fine.

Speedbleeders work greak. They seem to work better (harder pedal feel) if you put thread sealant on the threads prior to installing. You should do that each time you bleed the system. Remove bleeder, apply sealant, re-install. This prevents air from being sucked through between the threads. Also make sure the tube from the bleed screw to jar is submerged in fluid.

Niether. I use Loctite 565 pipe sealant. Its not like the blue, its more of a thick white sealant that just fills the air space between bleeder and caliper. I had called Loctite a few years ago and they said it was compatible with DOT3
