Actually, since you never done this before stay with the T2 ECU because that is just way to advance. Start with this project. When you complete it...then advance

is the microtech that complicated? Is it the program itself? or actually hooking it up that can be complicated if you never done this stuff?
Still debating what I want to do for mods.. I am pretty sure i want a new radiater..unless the one in the donor car is in really nice condition, the one i have now, is just really shitty condition. I figure go with a fuel pump, and a full exhaust. But then I will be getting into boost creep wont I? I read somewhere that If i got a new wastegate i would need a new turbo and manifold i believe...is this true? Anyways What would you guys recommend for mods then?

- Another Update -
Last night I was attempting to get the A/C, I couldnt reach one of the bottom bolts, I finally just gave up. Ended up taking off the whole exhaust instead. Today I did finally get the A/C off, and will be removing the whole thing completly, all the hoses and such. For now its just hanging there though. I will be removing the bracket probably tomorrow. I wont be having A/C or P/S. I am going to keep the airpump for awhile untill i get a new exhaust to remove the cats. I believe I got all the hoses off...I am going to remove the hood in a few days and get a better look, There is still some electrical stuff alll bunched up though. I need to do the fuel lines too, otherwise It looks pretty good. Oh btw, do i really need to unhook that computer thing under the passenger floor board? I dont see why I need to do that to remove the engine...if someone could please explain why. Well thats it for now.

This weekend I should be pulling the motor, so i am getting excited. Only a few lines left and she should be ready to pull.
I got a question though, the donor car that i am getting, the hood is pretty dented up, so I am planning to get a FMIC, so i can use the hood from the GXL...Could i run a big FMIC on the stock turbo and it will run fine? Or does size matter ? I am planning to make 400-500 sometime in the future, so if i could, i would like to buy a intercooler now that will support those numbers, and just need to know if thats fine to run on stock stuff.

Well, I'd say go with the microtech since your installing a completely different engine.
It will be hard to get it set up in the beginning (maps,witing,etc) but once you get it in you can tune it to purrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
It will remove a few things so that way when the thing doesn't turn over you have less stuff to track down.
As for the wires/etc get the Factory Service Manual off the internet(FC3S.org has it i think) and it will have any and every answer as to where something goes.
I would replace the radiator anyways.
You have a 10+ year old car. If you plan to get some good horse then just upgrade it now. It is simply mechanical so there is no electrical things to worry about.
If you over heat once, you can kill our engines so just upgrade now as a safety precaution.
I've looked into the conversion myself.

Are you doing the driveline as well or just switching the flywheel or something and keeping the N/A driveline?

ya i am doing it completly...I got a TII donor car comming, the frame was bent, the engine is still good though with 3500 miles, everything else is at 54k
so i will basicly be taking everything out of that car into this car, i might check to see how much it would cost to repair the damage...but im assuming it will be a good amount.

I was just curious on when a good time to upgrade the intercooler is? How much boost or hp can the stock intercooler handle fine?
Also Im not exactly sure what IC i should get if im looking for 400-500hp...if anyone can help that would be awesome, just not finding what i want by searching

yea im about to install everything, i have a complete 13bt jdm engine, jdm TII ecu, exhaust, clutch and tranny, but my question is, with the gtu performance with engine speed steering assisted, while the tII is engine speed assisted, will my car change to engine speed assisted too with the new ecu and engine? and what other inherited benefits can i expect

to make the car a true TII i recomend doin the whole thing, including the entire drivetrain (tranny, diff, shaft, axles) as well as the suspension, but you are bettr off just upgrading you springs and shocks anyways. i am doin my swap this winter, and im swapping evrything over.

a t2 conversion is not hard at all , ihave done 2 allready, i enjoy doing them,you must have a walboro fuel pump that is an absolute must, you should clean injectors thats an absolute must, the used harness should be repaired re taped new pigtails for the injectors all you you have to do is them simple task , to save the headache of blowing the motor fuel is very inpoertant on these old cars dont forget to rewire you fuel pump you will be on your way to smoking some corvettes , my setup is waboro pump 3nich exhaust tid mod superchips mbc that simple setup ran me12.1 on the 1/4 with stock turbo centreforce pressure plate 6 puck bronze clutch
