some recent problems for my AE

ok here's a couple for you guys..
1) tonite my boost gauge went wack cause it started poping up to 2 bar and stuff and going up and down really fast around 1 bar to .5 bar. I'm thinking maybe a connection problem cause it worked before i discovered the problem which happened to be after i got a cd player install and a sub..can anyone think of anything that could fix this? I'm not sure where to start looking (just recently got my turbo AE ) any suggestions on what I can try please let me know..

2) When ever I start my car it smokes a while (white smoke, heard it's normal?) and its a new streetported engine but it spits watery looking stuff out that is kind of blackish, but after like 1 minute it stops. Not sure what this means (maybe just a dirty exaust?) again any suggestions would be very appreciated, thanks

I'm assuming your boost guage is aftermarket? Being that the stocky doesn't read in bar (unfortunately). Check your wiring. Hopfully, whoever wired up your deck used stocky wiring and everything for it. The reason I say this is because I had Best Buy install a radio of mine, and they hooked up the power and ground for it to my NEON wires! idiots... anyways. Check your wiring. Check your boost sensor. Check your vaccuum hoses. Make sure all wires and hoses are good, and then if problems persist, I have no idea.. Sorry bro.

About the white smoke, I'd say it's all good. All rotaries should smoke at start up due to the oil injected into the engine at start. That's why it goes away. If it was constant smoke, you'd have a problem. But it's all good. The black fluid? got me there... sounds like carbon build up coming out the ext. but what liquid it could be mixing with is beyond me. I'd be happy to be corrected if I'm going a little overboard. I'm no expert.
