Some quick engine Q's
Ok I've had some minor idling issue when my car is cold, and it's been hard to take the time actually sit down and check it out. So, before I tear away I wanna hear some pointers or maybe you guys can lead me in a certain direction.
My car: 1989 GTU with new motor that has about 6k miles on it right now.
Only when the car is cold the idle will fluctuate sometimes. If I start it up it will do the normal 3k start up then drop down like it should. Everything seems fine until I drive off and start cruising. Then when I come to a stop sign a put it in nuetral to start braking, the engine will almost cut out unless I give it some gas right before it dies. It will keep doing this until it warms up and when it's warm everything is fine.
There's no smoke or anything from the exhaust and I know for a fact this motor internally is good. I think it's probly one of the accessories I brought over from my old motor.
I still need to get injectors cleaned, and I also think maybe it could be the BAC valve. Any good suggestions will be helpful. So, I can finally set this thing right, but the motor is great and has not given me any issues beside this very minor one.
