So close to finishing my turbo2 swap, final questions about standalone and fuel

Ok so the motor is in and I just got my haltech this weekend e6k
I have a s4 t2 motor with the throttle body mod and a fujitsubo turboback exhaust.

I plan on running 10psi at first and then around 13 once I get the tuning smoothed out.

This is my first turbo 7 so I wanna double check with you guys, I probably need a walbro 255 pump and some 720 injectors.

Should I port the WG?

I havent found too many people on this board with a stock turbo and haltech so I am just trying to finish my setup for now. I basically know the answers to my questions but it never hurts to double check after all this time andmoney I have invested.

I have a stock s5 turbo on my s4 t2 to get my tuning down before I drop my big snail onner. Its a good idea to get your maps working some what properly with a wideband before you go throwing 10lbs of boost at in with any size turbo. You will need the walbro and its a good idea to get the 720's and send the stock 550's to cruzin performance to be cleaned. I see you are in VA. We are in MD drop me a pm if you need anything.

You might as well upgrade your injectors now, because you will have to retune your whole map later if you change your injectors. Go big I say, because the haltech can handle smaller pulsewidths.

And if your turbo is off, go ahead and port the wastegate.

Yeah I am about to print off the diy of the wastegate porting.

I have a wideband innovative setup to tune with, The haltech I got came off a 360whp fc so I think he is plenty rich to start with so I will lean it out from there and mess with the timing.

I dont know if I really need to clean the 550's I will just soak them in carb cleaner and When I rebuild and port the motor next year I will swap the 720's as my primary and drop some 1600's as my secondaries.

btw what do you guys do in md? I do all of my own work but if you guys sell used parts I could always go for that

I run a Haltech with stock turbo (for now). Definitely get a Walbro and some 720cc secondaries if you want to run 13 psi. As J-Rat suggested, it might be best to go with big injectors now (if you plan to run a big turbo in the future) so that retuning might be less difficult.

Be careful tuning with the stock turbo...it spools very quickly compared to most turbos, so the map will take some work. You definitely want to make sure you have enough fuel when the boost kicks in, since it will be earlier than most aftermarket turbos.

ultra....

how does the stock turbo pull right now?

and do you have a map that I could look at for reference??? I dont think there will be much difference between my e6k and your 10series as far as timing and fuel, you just might have more options.

I am hoping to get a mid 13 out of this in a gutted 88 se n/a chassis.

The stock turbo pulls pretty well. On my stock engine and TMIC, I estimate it should be making between 230-250 rwhp at 14 psi. I definitely want more in the future, but it is a fun, quick car for now.

My Haltech is a fuel only computer (I run a distributor), so unfortunately my maps won't work for you.

I run a dizzy bc it is the setup that my tuner recommended. I was looking for something relatively cheap and reliable. I also didn't want to deal with the CAS signal breakup that is occasionally problematic with the E6K/E6X. I know its an old school setup, but I'm not trying to extract every last HP from my car...I just wanted it to make good power and be reliable.

As for timing, right now I run locked timing - which sucks. I'm planning on swapping an '80 dizzy in...to tune it you rev your car to ~4500 rpm and set your maximum advance. Its not the best for power, but its reliable and fairly inexpensive.
