Unhappy snow tires on back.. monster truck tires on front?

i got a question that may seem obvious to some but I kno ppl who are saying that this will be fine:

front tires = 2 x 225 in width
rear tires = standard lil dinky snow tires.

will this work?

my cousin is saying it will but i have doubts so im checkin with u guys.

thanks
matt

I had Dunlop 225s all around and this 7 was scary as hell to drive in the rain. The back or front end would slide without warning on turns. The rear end would break loose and fishtail if I punch it in 2nd gear. So I just got a set of cheap Kumho Ecsta H4s at Sears. I stepped down to the stock size which is 205. The car is now very solid in the turns on wet roads. I can make it break loose but its very controllable. I think this setup will be OK in the snow too. Skinnier tires give better grip when its slippery out.

Defintiely go more narrow all the way around. In the snow, you want a tire that will actually cut thru the snow, not ride on top.

Just think how much faster you'd slide down a ski-slope on a snowboard compared to hockey skates. While the snowboard may be more fun, slidin your rex into a tree in the white stuff would really suck!!!

BC got two days of snow last year in the lower mainland. It got 1 day the year before. Snow isn't an issue here.

Regardless, you still wouldn't want to run a staggered stance like that in the snow.

Lower mainland gets rain from November to end of april. No real cold whether until you get up to central BC.
Our summer's mid spring's through to mid-fall's are really nice, actually.

I've lived in the lower mainland and in the interior. Get all season's and take the bus when it snows (no one in the lower mainland knows how to drive in the snow, you're likely to get hit or slide off the road, no offence to you all though, no practice).
