well just for those of you that care.................ok I guess I'm talking to myself I just put everything back together, the third nipple I saw went directly into the uim so I'm guessing it's a vac source so I used that for my boost gauge and boost controller. Tomorrow I am going to wire the twin scroll actuator open and then give it a test drive. I can't start it tonight because my little girl is asleep but hopefully tomorrow we will find out. It's not over, after that I have to install the fmic that is comming in and the cai that is comming in as well. Thank goodness I didn't get a wideband yet

edit: hopefully my hesitation will be gone after this also if you look at my secondary injectors in one of the pics up above you will notice how they are turned. Whatever you do, do not turn them like this because your uim will not fit! If I would have used force I would have broke the injector connectors.

As I said above, it appears the S4's don't have the secondary injector air bleed, so that'll leave you with three nipples. The bottom one is for the double throttle system and sees vacuum; the other two are for the primary injector air bleeds (little nipple) and oil nozzle air bleeds (big nipple).

If you're going to connect a boost gauge and boost controller to the back of the UIM, it must be to the bottom nipple or they won't work.

I can't confirm if that big nipple is for the brake booster, but since it appears to go straight into the plenum chamber, and is one of only a few lines on the engine that big, it's a pretty safe bet it is. If you hook it up and you have no brake assistance, you'll know it's not...

BTW, in one picture you asked what the big thing on the back of the plenum is. It's the air supply valve that increases idle speed when the power steering is used or the hot-start assist systems is active.

Thanks nz! I will deffinatley need that back air supply valve then. Is there an air hose that is supposed to go to it???? Also the connector that goes to the asv are the wire colers supposed to be blue/white and black/white???? Thanks again nz for your help!!!!!

The ASV hose goes to one of the nipples on the rear IC tank.

According to the 88 FSM wiring digrams the wires for the ASV should be black/white and green/black.

ahhhh I saw that, I think its under the uim manifold now, lol. I'll go ahead and snake it out and hook it up if I see any problems. THanks again nz!

Well I started my car this morning and it started right up with no leaks!!!! Yay!!! the idle was 900rpm solid!!! yay!!!! I haven't diven it yet but when I do I will post my results (hopefully no hesitation) thanks Wayne, nz, hailers for yalls help!

well I just took it for a drive and there was absolutley no hesitation Yeahhhhhh!!!!!! So now I'm just going to have to keep testing it to make sure however it looks all good! Now I need to hury up and get my fmic in so it can handle the 15psi I'm seeing anyways I won't take it on a spirited drive again without the fmic so I don't have to wory about detination.
