Slow starting, WTF!!

ok, this has FINALLY Pissed me off to the point where i felt i had to see WHAT is UP wit my car.

it cranks REALLY slow, like the battery is almost dead. i can only get ONE crank out of it, like 7 seconds long, and then the battery dies. GODAMMIT! its PISSING me off. mother f...in car. SON OF A BITCH...

i had this problem w/ my trans am, but i KNEW what the hell was wrong w/it,, i was just too lazy to fix the starter solenoid!

this, i have No idea. could just be the Battery, but its pretty new. a Fancy EVERstart. it started happening after i stopped driving it daily. i make it a point to Not leave the lights on, or the door ajar. the only thing i can think of, is that its my amp. but i dont see how its drawing voltage when my goddamn stereo is off. the amp only comes on when the STEREO is on. i wouldnt be so mad if i knew what exactly was wrong...but i DONT! maybe ill take the optima out of the TA. see if that fixes it.

Help

mmm, just take the battery back to wallmart and say "i dunno, just stopped working" and get a new one. I doubt your amp would pull that much voltage. I had a 1200watt amp hardwired always on in a 95 neon. I could let it sit for about 48 hours before needing to be concerd too much. As long as there is no sound for it to amplify, its really not using much power at all. I would honestly just check the battery posts. Clean em up.

Good luck.

It sounds like what my car did a few days ago.

Does it crank, and try to start, but won't? I'm wondering if it's your starter.

My problem was actually carbon build up that was making it not start = lock up. As well as around the TBP. Make sure your ATL is sending out the correct voltages as well.

If neither, it's probably your starter (i'm guessing).

Sorry. I might be wrong, or right. Just a guess, sounds sorta of what my car was doing a few days ago.
