Mine had that problem when cruising with my foot off the gas at around 2500 - 3000 RPM. The problem went away as soon as I would ever-so-slightly tap the gas. As it turned out, I adjusted my TPS, and the surging went away.

My 91 vert has the same problem in 2nd and 3rd gears. Everyone says adjust the tps but I can't seem to find anyone that explains it good. If someone could shed some light on it that would be great.

Are you in driving off from first and staying slow? Or are you in gear at low speed and trying to put the throttle on? Once you are off the gas at a low speed in gear and try to get on it again, the car will buck. This is what the rotary engine does. The cars are terrible at low engine speeds when it comes to smoothness.

I go throughout 1st gear its pretty smooth all the way up to 4k rpms. In 2nd and third at 2k rpms it bucks when I attempt to punch the gas, but if I gradually gas it its ok and only a little jerking is felt.

Are you saying the screw in the attached jpg won't move????? Difficult to believe.
IF that was so, then you would have a engine fault light and the code would turn out to be the TPS full or narrow range being bad.
The CHECKER lamp mentioned in the jpg attached, is but two LED lights you can buy from Radio shack. You join the two red wires of the LEDs to one spade connector. The put a spade connector on the other two wires. Now you have a TPS checker lamp and you follow the instructions in the attached jpg. The warmed up engine is MANDATORY. As in a HOT engine, not luke warm.

I tried the penetrating oil, it worked.
I adjusted the tps and then it took two times to start the car. then she started and sounded really good, then she started putting. I tryed the timing, it was fine soo im outta ideas. im making a thread in general Rotary tech.
