sleepy eye mod?
#5
I rode around with mine done for a long time. Probably about 5 months. I got really old having to use my brights to be able to see even remotely. Of course, it didn't help that I had no windshield wipers.......at all. They didn't work well when I got the car (had been rigged because of fried switch) and I was poor so I remove the motor, wipers, and assembly and threw it in the trash. Hurray for rain-x. I got scared a few times.

why would you cut and ruin a perfectly fine wire harness when you could just pull the retractor fuse under the hood and then adjust so you could just pop the fuse back in and fix it when you realize how horrible it is

you dont drive at night with sleepy eyes or have your headlights on, thats just dumb and poser..
sleepy eye is a style.. strictly for cosmetic style. Gives an aggressive look. however, it looks stupid when done too high. Usually at least 1inch open at least.. 2 or more looks poser.
so where is this wire you guys would clip? i did that route in my s13, there was a wire to clip and you could use the retract button to adjust hieght.

Uh.......like you said, its a street car, which means everyones gonna see it.......it should be as close to perfect as possible

To an extent, with the s13, you could get away with cliping a wire on the retractor button, which would alter the function of that button, so when it is closed circuit, the headlights go up and down with the headlight switch as normal... but when you hit that button *basically leaves that circuit open*, the headlights would stay at whatever hieght you had hit it.

so, what does the 240 have to do with the 7? I don't really care if a 240 looks broken, I dislike those cars anyways. The 7 gets plenty of "reliability" crap from everyone and making the lights look broken perpetuates this misconception just because they wanna be posers like the 240sx's.
I guess I'm one of the few that would rather BE cool than LOOK cool.

ok the easy way i did it is look under the fuse and there is one wire coming out its white and another color just cut that wire and run 2 wires from there to inside the car. inside the car just put a switch so you can control it when ever. i like this bc its easy to just flip the switch and have full headlights at night

Ok sorry , so to sum up this whole thread, dont cut the wire, just pull the fuse, that way if you ever get tired of it you can pop the fuse right back in and have it back to stock with out the headache of wire crimps, once the fuse is out you use the **** under the front of the car on each side to adjust as needed, when i did it i used the lines in the headlight to line it up right, the fuse is located under the hood, i believe its called the retractor fuse its 30A and should be the one closest to the fender and furthest away from the engine if im not mistaken.
