Seems that most people on these forums can afford a TII or a 3rd gen... Or were smart enough/lucky enough to get one in the first place. Those of us with modded N/A's have gone past the point of no return. I've put more money into my car to make it feel and handle right, that it'd cost me double what I've got into it to sell it and buy a TII, then do the same feel and handling mods to it. Not to mention, I love my car.. And could never sell it.. It'll be great day when I kill all the TII's around here with my weak little turbo N/A that cant handle the power of a turbo..... or whatever it is they all say...

I used to kick the idea around of doing a TII conversion on my car when this engine goes, and I still may.Right now I am thinking that maybe I will do what you speak of(put a turbo on a n/a) and run it that way untill it goes, the do the full TII conversion.I see no reason you can't put a turbo on a n/a as long as you get your air/fuel and your timing right.I think you would need the s-afc and the necessary gauges, injectors, fuel pump, etc. Also there is a company,I believe their name is J&S that makes a knock sensor that automatically retards the timing at the first hint of detonation(SCC had it on their 3rd gen project car) which might be a good thing seeing that one good ping is all it takes to break an apex seal.Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

You are correct.&nbsp I put my money that the MAJORITY of people in here are not capable of doing this or comprehending what you need to do to attain this kind of performance...

LOTS of trash taking...
I hope I'm not one of your victims.&nbsp The ball-bearing 60-1 using an XS Engineering divided cast manifold should eliminate that possibility anytime in the near future.&nbsp If over 400hp to the wheels is not enough, then the 20B would be my trump card...

Haha.. I was refering to stock, or nearly stock TII's that some of my friends own. Not modded, fast *** TII's like yours. I never plan to have more than 210-230rwhp. I think that's attainable. Even for the likes of me... I'm not going for fast here.. I'm going for anything faster than my slow *** N/A. And since I cant afford a TII, I'm turboing my N/A. Any more power than 210-230 and I'd need a costom rebuild (TII housings, N/A rotors. Probably 3mm seals too... as well as other misc ****), bigger turbo, divided manifold, better fuel and ignition tuning (dyno tuning, not gauge tuning.. Can you say Haltech?), larger more efficient intercooler, larger injectors, additional injectors, additional injector controller, high pressure fuel pump, a good knock sensor to avoid detonation, and a TII driveline to handle the power. I'm sure I left out a lot, but my point is.. I know its easier and better to start with a TII if you want power. After this summer is over, I plan on joining the military. Then when I have my life set up and the money rolling in, I'll buy and mod a TII. Some of us just dont have the money for a new car, so we make do with what we got...

I own a 1987 GXL 13B 6 Port. I slapped a Turbo II T03 and the intercooler in it. the only thing that I changed was the secondary injectors. I am using from a 1984 GSL-SE they work just fine!!!!

Here in Puerto Rico is very easy to do whatever you want with a rotary engine, there are parts all over the place. We got a 1980 Full metal Mazda RX-7 running 8:32 @ 159 MPH. It needed bigger tires so times should improve we will be racing this weekend here in Puerto Rico against team USA.

Well I use it everyday and it works just fine. Just have to use the top part of the turboII intake, the intercooler, factory Turbo and exhaust manifold 84 gsl-se injectors (for secondary). I am using the factory 6 port computer since I am only running the stock 7psi. Also if you wanna go higher than 8.9 psi on a turboII you must get a fuel cut-off. The TurboII computer is designed to cut-off fuel to secondary injectors at 8.9 psi, so in order to make the car belive that it is running less psi you must install a fuel cut-off, mazdatrix sells them. About the twin turbo, just get a 3rd gen engine. Actually they run better on single big Turbos. Twin would be better for 20B applications.
