Thumbs up Skyline wheels for my Turbo Vert

I just picked up these wheels today. They're from R32 Nissan Skyline GTS-t, 16x6.5 with 225/50 Toyo Proxes tires. I was going to clean the car and take some decent pics but as you can see it's raining and doesn't look like stopping soon. So here's a sneak peak.

They've been powered-coated silver; the stock colour is a darker metallic gray. I'm going to look for some 10-15mm spacers for the rear so that the guard clearance is more like the fronts. Even better would be to find a pair of R32 Skyline GTR wheels for the rear, as they look identical but are 16x8 instead. These are really hard to find though, and probably expensive too.

I had to re-use the ugly stock nuts, but I'll replace them with black dome nuts like the Skylines had stock. I'd also like to get some centre-bore rings made, since I prefer the wheels to be supported by the centre-bore like they're supposed to rather than the studs.

The centre cap badge is very strange. I have absolutely no idea what this Japlish means, but it's on all the GTS-t and GTR wheels. I might look at getting a Mazda logo on there somehow.

Better pics of the whole car will come soon!

I got the wheels and two sets of tires (all about half tread) off a workmate for NZ$500 (~US$360), which is a very good deal...

Yeah I know. It seems to look better in person than in that photo but I'm definitely considering it.

BTW, these replaced the factory S5 15" 5-spokes, so the visual improvement is considerable.

Wow, the Kiwis are coming out of the woodwork.

Since I have to drive it every day, it's not going to be "sacked on her ****" but a 20mm drop would be nice. Any more and the handling does to **** anyway.

And I've just added gloss black brake caliper paint to my shopping list. Now that I can see them I want them to look good.

I think the Japlish might mean that in stock form, tire was inflated with dehumidified air. But that's just an educated guess...

My best guess was that the casting took place in some kind of clean atmosphere. Why this needed to be written on the hub is anyone's guess.

iv got r33 gts-t wheels on mine fit perfectly just have spacers at the front... they actually really suit the car - i think skyline wheels in general suit fc's more than skylines (r32, r33 and r34).

NZ i have always admired those R32 rims, although i really like the GT-R rims, but they are so expensive!! Looking very nice...

Are your tires on backwards or was the last couple pics taken of the tires/rim on the other side of the car than the first pic??

OMFG!!

I have always wanted R32 GTR rims, but those look sweet...Was there any need for spacers. (I want the R32 GTR rims cause you don't need spacers, justrolled fender.)

Anyway maybe you can start another thread about your rims, suspension setup, fenders, etc. beacause i swear i read you can't fit 9 inches in the front.

Drft 180 sx

Those are not GTR R32 rims they are off A R32 GTST, the baby brother to the GTR, the rims are 6.5 inches wide, they bolt straight on with no spacers. Well I haven't used any on mine, they work well.

Damn those look good. That doesn't look much like Brisbane weather though...

I always though the R33 GTS-t wheels look a little plain, but I haven't seen them on an FC. Post pics if you have any.

First pic, left side; second and third pics, fight side. Look for the side indicators.

Actually I've been looking for black nuts since that's what these wheels are fitted with stock, but I can't find any yet. Skyline wheel studs have a 12x1.25 thread as opposed to our 12x1.5, so I can't just go to a Nissan wrecker and get cheap used nuts. Aftermarket ones seem to be very hard to find so I might resort to chromed ones.
