Size of Dash bolt please

The bolt that holds the top panel on the dash (defrost panel) what size is this? I tried threading in several different ones with no luck.

I'm not sure which bolt you mean, but off-hand I think most of the bolts used in the interior are M6x1.25.

i'd just leave it out once you remove it. should be the same as most of the 10mm bolts on the car.
