Single it out or dules??
hey what is a good set up for an rx7?? single exhaust, fake duels or true dules?? im asking hp for weight/ tourque differences for the money??? not how it looks or why it is degrating to make it single cuz its taking away its uneakness im asking pure preformance. so what do you think is the best preformance exhaust including width of piping and all

If you have the cash, true duals would be pretty good. Im opting for a single (RB header/high-flo cat/CS catback) One because of cost, 2 because of weight. The duals are fairly heavy. True duals would net a broader HP and TQ range, but a good single will be very good also.

it comes down to $$$ duals will flow more, and adds turbulence, also 2 time as much as expensive....though a single is cheaper and allows much more straight through performance for turbos.... 3" is enough for a 60-1...............

im going with a little bit of both, i bought the RB road race header, and i bought the RB collector to bolt up straight to the header and from there on out im getting 2.5" piping all the way back to a A'PEXi N1 muffler! i hope it sounds nice, i got my header on already, just waiting for the N1.

Even custom Y pipe "fake" duals are heavy. I had to change the spring perch height on my rears when I went to the single. *** end was sticking up from the lighter exhaust.

look the reasons I bout the DUALs are:
1) They are the BEST for a stock 13B which i have
2) They have big HP numbers recorded on a dyno
3) I hate the single exhaust look
4) I wanted to get the best I could with the money I had
The results to date:
1) They are awesome
2) sound is great and not hella loud
3) It does not sound like a lawn mower like people told me
4)They look great very close to stock size)not a big grapefruit cannon tip like N1's
5) I loved the fact i did not have to fab anything up
6) Easy instalation even alone with limited tools
7) Compared to the stock exhaust the weight increase is minimal
8) I have already compensated for most if not all of the extra weight with removal of crap(radio, A/c, Emmisions)
9) I kick a lot of *** now and get respected by fast cars when I drive around(not that i care though)
10) I love them PERIOD and they DID NOT disappoint me at all.

I for one am a fan of dual exhausts, what are you using the car for? Is this "just" a street car or something else? Also...ANY exhaust setup is GOOD (when compared to stock) including the pacesetter exhaust.

why does the N1 have to fall into the fart cannon look category? just because its big doesnt mean its a fart cannon...the N1 is definitely not a fart cannon, and not many ricers have them that i know of, because they arent willing to spend that much on sound, besides...it doesnt have the sound they are looking for, its too deep for them.

i have the corksport single exhaust, its a good piece, stainless all the way through, and the piping is huge. its deffinally lighter then a dual setup, but its really loud, on my car. (sometimes good, sometimes bad) =)
its all a matter if u can what it looks like from behind. and how much money you have to spend.

I said look. I have not heard the N1's in person but have seen videos and they are ok for sound but not my style for size. My exhaust is modestly sized. I think that 4.5" tip is crazy specially for the N1 duals there is no need for them to be that big.
