Whats the pros and kons of a single exhaust, does it have more advantage as the duals?

Not a rotor? Not a motor.

single sided outlet will generally have a slight performance advantage over the duals; it also would weigh slightly less.

The duals (depending on what brand) in my opinion, sound better though.

Performance depends entirely on pipe size, not whether it's single or dual. The <20lb weight difference is negligible and won't even be noticed.

All that matters is is sound, cost and looks. Assuming similar muffler design and quality, single will always be louder and cheaper. Looks is entirely personal preference.

I have the single and I love it. Just got in on yesterday.

A huge weight difference from stock and I like the sound. It's low, lound but not annoying either.

The performance difference on my T2 is actually very noticable as well.

Mine is 3" from turbo back with a 4" tip

The difference from stock is huge whether you get a single or dual.

I got a full dual system from racing beat. I love it and I wouldn't have it any other way, I think duals look better myself.

ok, so im a broke bastard, but i know how to work on cars so it works out, but anyways, i bought a single corksport, used, but it was only used for like a day, i love it, it was cheap and sounds nice, i think evenly proportioned (sp?) dual exhausts look better, but like i said, im a broke bastard

And for the upper post, its because the RB exhaust is probably engineered better and the fact that it is DUAL gives it the potential to flow more if the demand is there

My local muffler shop did me up a 2.5 inch DP / 2.25 Y to dual SS mufflers with steel packing, the car is as quiet as stock (slightly louder) but the meanness on trailing throttle, and the low low frequency from the rear sounds so sweet. Duals are the way to go. Ever stand behind your car with duals (Between the exhaust) and have some romp on the gas, pure music! My brother drove my car for me (I drove my conquest) and the RX7 sounds so sweet through duals. I had a single on my Gsl-se, and although a turbo car sounds different, that single exhaust just makes it sound 'ricey'

I doubt the exhaust has much do do with it, and it's certainly not the differenc ebetween single and dual. Like I said, pipe size is far more important than configuration. I'm sure there are other differences between your car and his, like maybe the condition of the engine and turbo.

welp as you can tell by my signature, it a pretty LOUD setup. Im thinking of different ways I can quiet it down. The performance is great with my setup love it, but the headache thing is sometimes too much. I just bought a resonator made for an eclipse, so I will see what that does for the noise. I dont wanna go back to stock by any means. Thanx guys for the info, still interested in your input though.

my car has a 2.5 full exhaust, and a OBX 2.5" resinator with a 2.5 Greddy Muffler with a 4.5" tip, and it sounds sick, kinda reminds me of a Ferrari, oh and Ricy to me sounds like when you are scared to drive behind the car because it sounds like something about to fall out from under the car. tons of Honda Civics are around where I cruize, and they have stock everything with a 6" Potato Gun Muffler, and they all sound like this

theres way too many tiny things that could change the performance.. could be driver u never know.. theres way to many factors in it..u bring 10 fc's in with the same mods and i gaurentee they arnt the same exact speed
