i tried atkins, their supercharger is 6G's for the fuel injection version, only 3 for the carb, i want fuelinjection. all well. obviously i got the $$$, i just dont want a turbo, AND this is my daily driver, i drive 50, 000 miles a year, a damn turbo would cash out every year or 2 the way i drive....

You really should just to a full TII conversion on it.
You've already sunk a **** load of cash into the car, whats $2k for donor TII at this point.

EDIT: The change to 5 lug suspension with the TII swap would also give you a great reason to get some better wheels on it.

Quote: i was looking for a million spoke allinimum rim, but didnt find anything not too ricey, GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Yes, I agree a multispoke would look great. How about Volk SE-37s in a darker color like bronze or gunmetal? The very light weight would improve the ride quality and if you later become interested in the performance aspect of RX-7s will help handling and acceleration since they weigh 1/2! as much as those crome monsters- and you could go wider.
If you are serious about performance and turbo is not your bag, go TII drivetrain and NA a 3 rotor! Looks like you have the skills and budget to pull it off nicely.

thanks a heap. t2 drive train will fit the n/a though? wasnt sure of that, i have acess to a t2 rear right now as a matter of fact, what else? i mean, do i have to change everything, or will the t2 **** bolt up to everything n/a. im actually not sure, cause i never tried, however i did help with a t2 swap in a conv b4. it was just that everything WENT TO T2. i plan on keeping my n/a, as long as t2 **** after the engine will bolt up, ill will put it on, if enough people with exp tell me it can b done. i work at a private rx7 dealership on the side, so i have acess to pretty much anything

For the TII drivetrain you must use everything from the flywheel back to do it right. But the very strong TII trans (600+ hp drag cars using it!) is a big plus since heavy convertables are hell on the already frail NA transmission.
Likewise, if you get nice rims, do the 5 lug/larger brake conversion at the same time or you will really kick yourself later...
Edit- oh yes, all TII parts bolt right up to any FC chassis, but most do not bolt up to NA components (like no TII rear end to NA driveline etc...)

Well, everyone has different tastes...I would prefer a primer gray stock 'vert if it had a well done, sorted performance drivetrain. I just don't go for "flash". My 30K 'vert would be a very clean stock chassis w/ a 20b conversion and TII drivetrain as well as full coilovers, forged rims etc...

Controversial car. It rides the thin line between RICE and JDM...

Will he choose the light side or the dark side of the rotary force... :-P

i will always go for true sprots car, never rice. im open to all contraversy, and all comments and opionions. if you all love rx7's, help me make it the best. ill really consider the t2 drivwe train, however it'll take a while, but none the less, it will be done. what bout nitroous? think that wouls b nice? once i fionish inastalling the afc and haltech and coil amp, ill lok into the t2 ****. ive hit 145 mph so far, and ran outta road, but my goal is to pin the n/a spedo at 160, and ill do what ever it takes. after that, perhaps i can convince myself to drive it like a human...

Well I say go for the TII conversion. Theres enough info on here about it to do it easy. Well alot easier. If your pretty handy, then you shouldn't have a problem. Like, can you do an engine swap yourself? If so no problem. Once you go turbo, you'll never go back. See what if you saw me on the road and I whooped you? That would suck man. You spent $2000 for a front bumper. Spend $2000 to make it live up to it.

It takes about 250 at the wheels on a TII to do 160mph (indicated, not actual) w/ its shorter 5th gear. The very real limit of the 6 port na engine is right around 200hp at the wheels on a RACE car w/ everything done (well, I guess not nitrous). Your tall 5th gear and bad 'vert aerodynamics are a hinderance to top speed runs as well. I don't think 160mph is going to happen- are you certain 145mph did? Thats pretty damn good!

Rice IMO is doing what other do just to do it, or show without go. In your case I would say its show without go, or close to it. But thats only since you have a car that has ALOT of money into it and won't hit 14s.

I beg to differ, spend some time in the lounge and keep an eye out for "Thong Thursday" :P

jcina7, definatly the nicest vert I've seen so far, don't mind all the haters though. Most people on this forum think that everything thats not stock is rice
I can't say I'm too fond of the spoiler/rims, they just arn't somthing I'd put on my car, but on your car they don't look half bad. Although I'm in the same boat as other, spoke rims woulda looked nicer, like the ones on my car. As for your power issue, I've always been a "Turbo 4 Life" kinda guy so thats the route I would take, but whatever route you take just make sure it does justice to your car

I got 135-140(stopped looking at my speedo) in my old 88 GXL. And that only had an intake. Stock rims/tires. Think thats as fast as I've driven. I've matured since getting my TII(6-8 tickets and a suspended license will do it to you )
