Should I be worried?

so after reading some posts on premixing, I decided to video my car "in action" to see if my MOP control arm was indeed being moved when I put my foot on the gas. (I have a S4).

Anyway, I was a little disturbed by what I saw when reviewing the video. The arm is not moving (much)even when I go to 7k. Now, I didn't take it to 7k and leave it there very long, and I am not sure hwo the throttle work, maybe it opens up more if I keep my foot down longer. I still feel a little weird just standing on the gas and not moving

Now, I run my car pretty hard. I do lose ~1qt per 1000 miles as I should be with a properly running MOP (or so I have read). So I think at least some oil is always being sucked into the engine. When I recently did my intake porting I saw evidence of such as well.

The car runs great now, is it possible that soem damage has been happening, or is the amount that comes out normally probably enough for everyday spirited driving?

BTW This may be a moot point, because i am probably going to switch to premix this weekend, in fact after seeing this video I filled up my tank and added some Castrol 2 Cycle (for outboards, not sure if this is good or bad)

Sorry for being long winded, I just don't want to see my car blow itself up while I am driving to work

If any body want/needs to see a short video PM me. No sense wasting server space if not.

Come on now. No bites? Has anyone ever checked/watched there MOP working, or does everyone take it for granted that the S4 mechanical system works right!!!!

got an electric omp here...not the mechanical so i can't help you much with that. as for the premix to use, use a 2stroke oil that is rated TCW3. don't just use any old 2stroke oil.

If I remember correctly, the stock setup uses 1qt per every 100 gallons of gas, not every 1000 miles.

The throttle plates are connected to the pedal via a cable. They open as soon as you press the gas. There should be a rod going to the OMP from the throttle body. I have my car setup to use premix because I don't want engine oil going into the intake and I don't know if it was working or not.

As you are concerned about the oil system, I think you would be interested in replacing the thermo valve behind the main pulley bolt with the dummy plug to allow oil to constant log go to the rotors instead of only when the oil is hot.

Like I said I was thinking about premix before I noticed that the the MOP didn't seem to be doing much under heavy throttle. Now I am mostly convinced that it is a GREAT idea.

The stuff I got is reated TCW3, So I assuem ti is ok. I read that the stuff they put in Sea Do's is the best (low ash) I might try and find some of that.
