Should i sell my seven?

I just got my 88N/a about 3 months ago, and i paid about $2700 for it. Ive recently done some cheap mods, fixed a few minor common problems and got it running pretty good. So im going to the grocery store where my wife works last night and this guy comes up to my and asks if i would take $3500 for it. That was the first time someone didnt just comment on the car but offered to buy it. and this guy is pretty serious. so i gave him a list of all the stuff i have done to it, and what was wrong when i bought it and what all i fixed and such. hes wants to see if he can get a loan and stuff. seeing that this is my only car, i would need to get another car if i sold this one. Im sold on the rotary, so i would want another 7, only problem is that down here in the middle of south texas theres not many rotaries for sale. so i see a 91 miata in the paper, which also grabs my attention. i dont know what i should do, seeing that i love the 7 and working on it, but there kinda hard to find around here..... i just need some opinions... thanks

Dude... don't sell your soul for a mi-otter, but if you don't like your 7, then 3500 is a good price!!!! If you are wanting a TII, save up two grand, sell your car for 3500 and then you can get a TII with some mods in really god shape!!!

a tII would be kool... however there are none in my area for sale, much less driven around. dont get me wrong, i love the 7, and the one i have is in great shape except a few engine problems. I would love to get a 7 thats in better condition, but theres not much selection around here. before i even thought about buying a seven, or knew anything about it, i wanted a miata. but i was reading a few other forums here and there, and i think ill stick with the seven, unless the miata i found was a turbo or something.... but still i would love to get a better second gen 7 or an 85 gsl-se but as before mentioned a buch of times, there arent too many of them around for sale.

If your only looking to buy another 7, i'd say skip the offer. Being as its your only car, it would be a PITA to have to look around for another one and have to sell this one to that guy.

I guess it was a miracle that I found mine. I live in maine where I have only seen about 10 FCs, and only one other TII which was owned by a 60 year old man who wouldnt even sell it. Then last summer one of my good friends who has a habbit of buying cars and driving them for a month and selling them got a TII from some old man who lived like 3 hours away. He bought it for 3grand and just hammered on it for like a month then got a ticket and said he wanted to sell it. Obviously I bought that **** in like .2 seconds flat.

I decided not to sell it tonight, unless the dude offered me like a huge ammount over what i would need to get a nice new one... but i love my 7 and theres sooo much more i can do to it still... so ill keep it a while longer, at least till it dies beyond repair or something...
