Should I replace my engine with a used one?

What do you guys think about replacing my dead engine with a working used one? It's $750 for the engine and $350 for the labor. I get a 90 day warranty on both. If anyone has gone this rout please let me know how it worked out. I'm not sure about the mileage but I would guess that it would be around 100K, which sounds a lot better than the 180k on mine. I appreciate your feedback.

well it depends...do you have the money to just rebuild it?For about the same price you might be able to pick up a jspec engine with less miles.

before you decide on that motor, have a compression test performed in your pestence. high 8's or 9's on a mazda tester is good for used motor. do a search on how to perform one with a typical gauge that way it gets done right.

japan spec engine, they are shipped here from japan with 30-50K miles on them, usually out of wrecked cars. I don't know whether or know the motor you're looking at is a jspec, because they usaully run 1300-2000 for motor and typically auto-trans.
