No they don't all run 9-11 seconds. Because a stock corvette runs 12.5. A stock Z28 runs 12.9. So you won't feel like **** when you 15.0 Maybe you just go on honda night when everyone pulls 15.0 The reason I don't like the integra is every ricer on the planet drives one. If thats what you like so be it. I would rather have a car that is unique. Most ricers get that blank look on their face when they see an RX7 because they know all the body kits in the world won't make their honda look as good as an FC or FD.

hey quaid. the point is quit ripping on something someone else likes!! it's pointless. obviously just about everyone on this forum likes the rx7. each person knows the originality of the Rex. cause we've all got one! there is always a car better. the challenge in the rx is bring back a 15 year old car to be competitive. the challenge in the integra is the fact it's front wheel drive. the Rex is not by any stretch of the imagination perfect. nor is the integra... especially when so many people look, specifically, for faults in another car. have you owned an integra? have you owned many rx7's? what do you base your judgements on? I'm automatically a ricer to many people cause I've got a car with an exhaust. and I'm asian. and too some you're one too cause you've got an asian import. some call anyone who has an exhaust a ricer. open your mind and enjoy the world the way it truely is.

well i never raced a ITR, but a friend of mine has a civic si with a ITR swap and to tell you the truth its not that fast...

i have a S4 N/A with basic bolt on's (see sig) and on the way back from the canyons we did a couple 40/50-100/110 runs and it only pulls on the top end... i dont know the exact numbers but when we were both at full throttle in the start i kinda kept up with him, untill i'd say we hit about 80 he pulls kinda hard. after we got back to his house he thought my car was the 200hp TII engine.... heh

so i'd imagine a TII with slight mods could take a ITR no problem...

If I didnt have the rex I would have gotten the ITR. Great handling, has power, runs mid 14's, champion white (dont really like the yellow) looks clean and theres just something about it that makes it 1000 times better than the lower model integra's. And if you consider getting it, get the Japanese front end conversion..its nice..

As for the RX-7, If you can still afford keeping it, KEEP IT. As the 90 T2 is rare as flying pigs in canada =). You'd kick yourself in the *** if you sell it. As we all know all owners of the 7, always comes back for more.

Oh if you sell it... how much you asking? haha

integra type - r are expensive, and most cases their too "rare" to be driven daily, the integra type r is so expsensive, that if i was to look at one, i'll be BROKE. but it's true it's a really good handling front wheel drive though, sometimes i still can't admit that the ITR isn't a rear wheel drive car when i drove my friends car in a parking lot, but i don't know i love my TII, integras can just suck it! i still got respect for all but i'm a damn drag racer, what do i know.

well the integras can (*** drag) drift if you know what you're doing! most don't know how cause they're used to rer wheel drive. were saying the integra IS NOT A DRAG CAR!! the tII can be. and obviously the tII is faster. but as DELTRON said the integra will pull on a N/A.

true integra's can *** drag but *** dragging slows DOWN alot more than a rearwheel drive hitting gas to induce slippage, it's just like pressing BRAKES and turning, while rear wheel drive u can slide multiple turns without slowing down as much as a front wheel drive, (when i say slowing down more, it's because drifting is slowest way to get through the turn, unless it's a bunch of mini-turns which is good for drifting because the return feels better) but drifting is for fun anyways. and of course the integra type-r will own a NA RX-7, it has more HP, rev happy high compression pistons coated with some black stuff to help pistons rev all the way to 8/9. But both are true sports car though, the type-r was made for competition just as the RX-7 was made to own. I believe whatever you choose you wouldn't be sorry because TurboII Series 5 is rare as it is and also the Type-R is rare, both are real good lookers. But for me i would sell that Type-R and get me a FD, MAUAUHHAHAHAHAH..

it sounds like he wants something more dependable and not just for summer. The ITR is a great car and can be made VERY quick for not a ton of $. You can easily get one into the 13's w/ bolt ons & cams...I happen to love real ITR's as they are performance cars designed from a functional standpoint and would WIPE any GSR stock vs. stock on any road course (it isn't just the extra hp either, MUCH different suspension and chassis reinforcement). If you really want the all year thrill w/ 4 seats go find a GVR4 or a mint 1G eclipse...

Well my 0.02 on the “Ricer” situation is this. I know plenty of people that drive/race Hondas and are not “Ricers”. The only bummer is the mental thought process of the majority of younger people that drive Hondas is “Hondas are the best and the rest sucks”. This is what unfortunately given the Hondas a bad name. I regularly Auto-X (well not this season with my GTUs missing a motor ) and the ITR’s tear up the track and are on the top of there class. By buddy Paul races is STS with his SI and last season he won the novice class .

I love the RX-7 but the ITR is a sweet car as well, it comes down to personnel choice. If you are looking for stability in your life, you will not have to worry about blowing your motor with the ITR. Have fun and get what make YOU happy.

Whooosh.. I think this is the wrong fourm to ask if a s5T2 is better the a type r, I mean this is a rx7 fourm, it's like asking the KKK whose better black or white lol. And what most people on here thinks is that a type r is the same as a regular integra that any Honda fan boy drives. Well let assure you it's a whole driving experiance, type r is for elite drivers not fan boy, if you go to auto-x you can see type r tear up the track vs a corvette, and you can see in circuit and rouge runs that they can keep up or surpass higher hp cars. People posting on this fourm probably never driven both cars, I owned both cars, and only with tunning my type r screams to 9.5k rpm stock, my t2 is great loves it, except not as fast or handle better then My type r. Plus Honda longivity cars running over 200k miles, 30+mpg, only bad thing about a type r is theft. I use to hate Honda cars, I use to be no rotor no motor!!, the. I drove a type r and blew my mine, I hope people posting are refferring to a real type r, and not thoes damn Honda fan boy who gives integra a bad name.

Both cars are great.
ITR is faster than a S5TII stock vs stock in the 1/4 mile.
ITR gets better gas millage, RX-7 handles better
RX7 got boost and ITR got V-Tec
Crap what am I saying S5 TII all the way but try to own both.
