Should I keep my nice new turbo on this old *** engine?

Basically I want to know what the probablility for turbo destruction is when an apex seal comes loose. I have seen cases where the turbo is fine (housings damaged) and I have seen opposite cases where the housings are fine but the turbo is toast.

Basically I want my engine to be toasted before my turbo because my turbo is freakin sweet IMO.

So whats the verdict? Stick to it or swap the engine before it blows?

Hmmm...I have a nice new turbo on my tired engine. I wasn't worried about it until you mentioned that...thanks a lot! I would say if the turbo is worth a lot and in LN condition, you could always swap it out with a stock one until the engine bites it.
