Thumbs up got one!

Hey you guys

i just purchased my 86 silverish blue rx-7 gxl and it has 71,000 miles. I got it for 2775 and the engine runs pretty smooth but i was kind of suprised that it was so torqueless even compared to my civic. I hope i can run a low 16 1/4 mile time with it. This is the first time im driving a rear wheel drive car so its kind of hard (scary) to control. I was doing donuts in a parking lot yesterday. This RX7 has seats in the back. But so far i am happy with it. It is in pretty good condition besides a broken sun roof. Also sometimes when i first start it up the idle seems a little rough at time. jumps from 700 to 8 back to 7 ect. Please give me as much info as possible or feedback.

Thanks

Some people may think that you shouldnt have bought the rx7.

"This is the first time im driving a rear wheel drive car so its kind of hard (scary) to control. I was doing donuts in a parking lot yesterday."

Doesnt sound like a very smart thing to do and you could break stuff on an already old car.

About the idle jumping around, the idle wont usually settle until the engine is fully warmed up but alot of fcs are plauged with idle problems. Do a search.

Treat her nice and she'll return the favor.
