Thumbs up Should I buy it?

Well, today I literally had a '91 coupe fall into my lap almost. I stop to help this guy to find out that his charging system is screwed up and he's just driving the car to storage on a blown rear rotor. He then proceeds to ask me if I want it for a parts car being that he's moving. Overall, the drivers side from the door back is pretty screwed up, but other than that, the interior is immaculate (black on black), it has the 5-spoke 16" '91 wheels with brand new rubber on them, stereo system, and a blown engine (120k on engine and body). His friend he bought it off of still has the title and can't find it at the moment, so that kinda kills it for me a bit, but he has the registration.

I offered him $150, but he said he'd have to think about it being that the tires are worth that alone. If and when he gets the title, do you guys think I should get the car?

If ya have the room I don't see why not. Finding a good interior is a hard enough task, plus the wheels are nice.

for 150$ or a little more, I think its totally worth a parts car. Thats me though, there would be all kinds of things that I could use from it, like the interrior for example, and misc emissions parts etc.

I hate to see basically whole cars parted out, but for around that price you could surely make your money back. And if the interior is truly immaculate, let me know if you buy it and part it out. My TII needs some things.

why do people ask questions like this when they know that in their right mind they'd never pass up a deal like that.

^ You're right, my bad, must've fat fingered over a key, yeah, thats it...

I'm just hoping that the guy comes through with the title, because I don't want to be stuck with a completely stripped out hull sitting in my drive way cutting it up in little teenie weenie pieces to throw out one at a time because no junkyard will even get near a car with no title.

Oh, and the interior is going to be complimenting my '90 GXL soon enough (red turning to pink is NOT fashionable) if I get it, so nobody get their hopes up too high. Also, the car comes with a complete aftermarket stereo system from what I understand, so that'll probably end up on here soon enough, too.

IaMtHeRuThLeSs1: Yeah, I know, it's true, but I just wanted to make sure that I'm not just screwing myself over in anyone's opinions. And just the feel-good factor in investing this much money (hey, I'm still a high schooler) in a hobby (a fun hobby, a sometimes expensive hobby, but a hobby none the less). Yeah, and I may twist my friends arm hard enough to let me build up an engine for him to drop in one of the race cars he has (Sports 2000 class currently in SCCA rules). Come to find out when I got the 7 that he had an RX-3 back in the day that he bought new, but when it blew, he couldn't get an impact socket of high enough quality (he broke 7 sockets!) in the size he needed to get the front assembally off (Circa 1978 IIRC), being that metric wasn't that popular here in the states yet and craftsman didn't carry any metric impacts over 17mm. He says that he'd still have that car today if he could've rebuilt the bloody thing...
