should i buy
im looking at an 86 turbo II with 140k miles
i havent test driven it yet but it started right away
the turbo spools fine
doesnt seem to have any mechanical problems besides the sunroof motor not working too well
the interior is screwed up beyond recognition and is that ugly maroon color
lots of little things are wrong like no stereo or inside door handles seats have ripped uphulstery
car has a big stupid wing and the whole car is completely primered
tiers are close to needing to be replaced
the seller wanted 1000 but i talked her down to 800
what does everyone think
i am trying to get ahold of the person again so that i can take a test drive

In my opinion...any running RX-7 is worth 1000 bucks.
Have you ever had a Turbo before though? Keep in mind that you'll probably need to do a lot of work on it (if not rebuild the engine entirely) to keep it purring.
I'd say if you are willing to put in the tender loving care the car will require to become a mean street machine, go for it. If not, let it go and try to find one in better condition.

There are no 86 model year TII's in the US as far as I know. Therefore it is either not a TII or it was converted. There is a third option but would be completly stupid as they would have had to import it from Jap and then convert it to US specs as far as the steering wheel and all that.

Santiago is correct, there are no 86 TIIs. Test drive the car first. Maybe even find somebody in your area who would be willing to help you out(there are tons of rotor heads in Sacramento). Ask if you can get the contact information for the mechanic who regularly performs work on the car. Talk to him, he will know everything. $800 isn't bad at all for a running TII. I would probably pick it up. If worse comes to worse, you can part it out and make your money back. ![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
