I've got a C's short shifter. I like it a lot, but the only thing I would change is the actual height of it. It's the same height as the stock shifter, which is too tall in my opinion. I think about a 1" drop from stock combined with a short throw would be perfect.

I bought mine used (barely, I might add) from Japan for ~$80 shipped :-D

Actually i have been looking for a kit in the 100-150 price range. But i want the actual short throw not just a shortened handle. Im sure if you could come in at that price range you would sell a ton of them.

knight1976 > i`m looking at selling them for around $150, it IS real short-throw, height is like stock one stock, but threaded handle is longer, so u could easy cut it to have it shorter if u want not only short-trow, but shorter handle too....

Will it come with bushings? When you think you are going to have some to sell?

The C's is a short throw. I'd just like it to be a little shorter physically.

I kept my stock shifter, put a shift **** from an 87 Camaro on it... Made it two inches shorter, shifts perfect, and the **** was 40 bucks brand new at the dealer. There are pics of it on this forum.

a shorter shifter doesnt mean a shorter shift.... the C's shifter is actually taller but the only part taller is the nipple on the bottom...it is also tilted forward equating to a longer throw making it a shorter shift...

I totally understand what you guys have said.

So which short shifter is a "true" short shifter? I'm asking because I'm in the market for one.

It comes as u see it on picture, just necessary stuff to make it work, no new bushings included....i personaly have no problem with it in my car, i simply removed stock one and installed new one, using old stock bushings.....i think mazdatrix's kit does not come with new bushings...not sure...

currently i do have first 13 kits but they are for me and my friends here in Europe, i could have another 50 kits in week or two, then about one week to get them to USA if there will be demand high enough to make them...

I have the Mazdatrix short shifter and I love it. It is the same design as the Mazdaspeed but a lot cheaper. and yes it did come with bushings.

i have a "C's" short throw shifter, i was gonna put on my car and like everyone...i wanted the height shorter, so i bought a pipe threader and begun to thread the shaft lower...the shifter is in practically new condition with the exception that i begun to thread more, and also i lost a small piece with the screws. if anyone is interested in puchasing this...i can send you a picture of everything(it is still brand new and has never been mounted). email me at badboy@kuentos.guam.net

I have the Mazdatrix and it works great. I have the buzz/rattle problem thou but it's worth it IMO.
