in defense. I suppose I should have started by saying you need to check for bent componants and check ride height. But with the other posts saying this I thought it was implied. An easy way to check for a bent strut is to measure with a tape from the strut at the top of the tire to the middle of the wheel. If ok check ride hight. measure at the same spot on each sie and compare if different i.e. left side lower you need new springs. All "camber kits" are, are smaller diameter bolts installed inplace of one of the knucke bolts.
I have a lowered neon where I ground the strut. I drive it hard and the alignment is still spot on after two years. By the way I recomend and alignmen check every year.

Going by my own experience, autocrossing is MUCH more strenuous on the suspension than even very hard street driving.

I bought a car with a poorly executed camber kit and the car would hold an allignment on the street but one autocross run with soft compound tires would make the camber slip.

I tried everything to make the camber stick but nothing worked until I swapped the strut for one that did not have the holes enlarged.

I have used "cam action" camber bolts and I have never experienced a slipping problem with them.

my front camber was also about a degree to two off on my fc a few weeks ago on the front only with the same suspension it came from mazda with about 19 years ago. i work in a shop right now and it only took turning the strut towers 180 degrees to get .01 and .00 which is well within spec. i would be suprised the shop didnt do this, considering we do on all the cars do that need it, but mayb trying a different shop would help.
