How do I remove the flywheel nut and flywheel?
The flywheel nut is torqued to approximately 350 Ft-LBs and is 54MM or 2 1/8" in size. You will need a large breaker bar or impact gun and then some means to keep the flywheel still as the nut is spun off. The flywheel can then be pulled off with a puller or pried off from behind. IMHO, if you need the tool more then 2 times, you need to buy it. I guess its different when you work on cars for a living. I got well over 20 grand in tools and Im not even close to having everything I need. You never will. As long as the automotive industry keeps coming up with new ****, your always gonna need to get new tools to work on it.

I had to heat my nut up with a torch to get it off using an impact wrench. I suggest you change the seals and pilot bearing before reinstalling. They are cheap, and it is to much trouble not to.

yea i heated mine to break the threadlock free and then had help from a friend to hold the engine stable as we snapped the gear inside the wratchet. He showed me how to flip it over and so we could still use it to loosen it, heated it up some more and we got it off. Sears was my choice too for 45 bucks, but i never brought it back like i planned... **** it
