series FIVE turbo nipples! ah!
first of all, I've been referring to this great thread:

Now, i have an emissionless, j-spec S5 t2 engine, and im becoming confused by which nipples are fresh air and which are vacuum and what to do with each. The thread i linked and diagrams are S4. Also, there are two styles of lower intake in that picture, and i have the first one. I think i have it figured out, but i'd like to confirm before i go bolting everything down and cutting everything to length. Im running a blow off valve, gm map sensor (with my E8), stock fuel set up with bigger inejectors, premix. also, im trying to figure out what all nipples i need to use. so far i have:
fresh air:
i believe they are the 3 nipples on the firewall side by throttle body
-primary injector air bleed (firewall side, top nipple)
-secondary injector air bleed (firewall side, middle nipple)
-cap where oil metering pump was (firewall side, bottom nipple)
vacuum:
i believe they are the front 3 nipples by the throttle body, and the one additional nipple near the end of the runners on the UIM on the passenger side)
-Blow off valve (front of car side, top nipple)
-Map sensor (front of car side, middle nipple)
-Fuel pressure regulator (front of side, bottom nipple)
-Map sensor (passenger side nipple)
am i right about which nipples are fresh air and which are vacuum? also, do i have them going to the right stuff? ive been working all morning to figure this out and would love to get a definitive answer for myself and for others to reference in the future. any help or comment is appreciated!

Firstly, all nipples get "fresh air". I guess you mean which see vacuum and which don't.
Of the back of an S5 UIM are four nipples. The top three are fed from before the throttle and see no vacuum. They feed (top to bottom) the primary and secondary injector air bleeds (doesn't matter which is which) and the oil nozzles air bleed (big nipple). The bottom one is fed from behind the throttle and does see vacuum. It feeds the TB's double-throttle actuator.
On the front of the UIM are three nipples. The top and bottom ones are fed from behind the throttle and see vacuum. The middle one is fed from before the throttle and doesn't see vacuum. The top one goes to the relief solenoid valve, the middle one goes to the top of the purge control valve and the bottom one goes to the bottom of the purge control valve.
In stock form the FPR is fed from the nipple on the inside of the LIM, and I see no reason the change that.

yes, by 'fresh air' i meant before throttle body. also, my S5 j-spec engine only has three nipples on the fire wall side. skinny, then fat, then skinny again. you can actually see it in the first diagram i posted. are you saying that all three of those aren't fresh air? also, i dont have that solenoid valve on the fuel pressure regulator, do i need it?

Okay, I missed the J-spec part. J-spec engines don't have the double throttle vac line, so no forth nipple on the rear. The three you have do not see vacuum.
The solenoid valve for the FPR is the hot-start assist system. You don't need it it, but it could be beneficial in hot climates where heat soak is more likely. The Haltech can't replicate this system anyway so I wouldn't worry about it. You can use the Post Start function instead if you need to.
And stop saying "fresh air". Post-throttle air is just as fresh.
