selling my engine?

think anyone would pay me for my 87 NA engine with 63k miles on it and i can prove it by my odometer. its the original motor that came from the factory. with enw thermostat. and other goodies.

opinions? price? am i stupid?

Seriously. For just the engine you are better breaking it down and parting it out. Even with all the accesories you are likely to only get about $500-$700 if you find someone willing to pay for it. However with the increasing lack of good rotors housing and intermediate plates out there you could probably sell those things alone for a few hundred. UIM/LIM can go for over $100. TB for $25-$50. so on and so forth.

i wouldnt be able to part it out. i would need to drive this until i took out the motor and like the day of taking it out buying another car to drive. then saving for the t2 motor.

I paid $500 for a rebuilt one, wouldn't pay that much for a used one.

You would probably be better off driving it around and saving up then. Once you have the cash for the TII stuff then sell it. You wont get much, and you probably wont find someone willing to work around your timetable either.

I paid 250 for a used S4 non turbo long block with 60K on it last month.

Think it will be tough to get much more than that
