checked the gas tank...lookes clean. the rpms leveld out i think the sock had to fill up. i still can't go over 4k rpms, still have no power, the only thing left i guess is the resistor pack. does anyone know how i can be sure before i buy one? i have already checked the grounds and replaced the bolts with new ones. i haven't added a ground to the ecu yet, but i don't think it would fix it anyway at this point. i am getting depressed, anyone have a prozac?

You pull the plug off. You put the meter on ohms. You put one meter lead to the middle pin. You put the other meter lead to each of the other pins one at a time. Each one should read 6 ohms.

Double check and make sure the trail coil sparkplug wires are going to the right places. If you get the trail sparkplugs in the wrong places, the engine won't run worth a darn. The coils have T1 and T2 written on them. T1 is the front rotor, top plug.

Outside of that, it sounds like a blown engine/????????/ If it idles well, then that ain't so.

Secondary's being bad/not coming online, would not cause a slow, slow acceleration to 4000 rpm.

Fuel pump pressure can be checked with a gauge bought from Autozone or ????. Cost a bit. Like thirty bucks probable and even then you'd probably have to cut it's hose and find some Tee's and short piece of fuel hose to tee it into the fuel pressure line.

Or maybe you lost your Lead coil for some unknown reason. So before starting the car, pull one of the sparkplug wires almost out of the coil. Start the engine. While idling, and NOT TOUCHING the chassis with your body parts, slightly pull that lead sparkplug wire out of its coil bore. You should see large sparkiing as the sparkplug wire is slightly pulled out. Pull it out only a 1/8" or so.

ok, ty for all the help hailers, i was just looking at Aron Cake's grounding write up and it looks like i am MISSING the main ground on top of the block all together! i don't know where it could of gone or what sorry SOB didn't put it back but i have a theaded hole right where it is supposed to be. there is one more ground near it but it just runs to the top of the passenger side firewall. i think i am going to have to do the ground at 2c in the ecu. let you know if it works
