Seat Belt help!
I just bought a 1989 S5, it has a hand full of things that needs to be fixed or replaced.. on the interior.
1. There is only a lap seat belt, and there doesnt seem to be a belt for the cross chest, aslo even if there was a cross belt the receiver for the belt above the window.
2. Is there any way i can get belt that attaches to the piller like modern cars?
3. The power mirrors dont work.
Help please, im new to the rx7 world

Welcome! You are sure to find a plethora of information here, there is lots of knowledge floating around.
1) Not sure what you mean here. There should be a seatbelt that stretches from right to left (driver side) that connects into the receiver on the auto-belt track along the roof. If the auto-belt system isn't working, mazda will replace/repair the system for the life of the vehicle. Refer to the FAQs for more info on that.
2) You mean like all cars without auto-belts? Yes, but you would have to swap the parts over from an earlier model S4.
EDIT: might want to double check and make sure that the threads are there in the B-Pillar to attach the belts.
3) This could be several things. Check the connections at the switch and at the mirrors first.
Be sure to read the FAQ thread at the top of the second gen section and always be sure to search for your questions before you post, since the creation of this site over a decade ago it's very likely that someone has had the same issues as you have and the question has already been answered. Often several times.

The easy way is to come up with a set of S4 manual belts...they will bolt right in to an S5 chassis, all the mount points are there.
The cosmetics are a little tricky but you keep all your original plastics, slightly modified.
If you can't source the Mazda belts, I've seen a build thread elsewhere where the guy used belts from the rear seat of some minivan and it looked good when he finished.
No matter which hardware you're working with, save yourself a lot of time and aggro by pulling the seats and all the plastic from the a and b-pillars before you begin. The center console will also need to come out.
Figure an easy day's work to complete the swap.
