Searched Help Needed. Running Lights Out
Here is the deal, I replaced my headlight switch and added the relay(IE MAZDAMARK) about 6 months ago.Everything has been good up until about a week ago when my running light went out. IE the first position on my light switch only turns on the interior lights. Which is throwing me off. The ONLY thing that doesnt work are my Running lights. IE parking lights. I have tested the relay and everything seems to be right. My brake lights/ headlights, and turnsignals are all ok. WTF. PLEASE HELP.

Oh, I didn't read that you used the relay... that rules the switch out all together.
Hmm, maybe the relay is not working then.
Do you have 12 volts on the red/black Mazda wire coming from the relay when the lights are on??? (should be pin 87 on the relay as I recall... I don't have the sheet infront of me right now).

Similar, but not the same
this may not be any help, but I have a similar prob.
My running lights are out as well as my parking lights. The interior console lights come on as well as the brake lights.
I took apart the console and detached the wire harness to find out my wire harness is burnt out on that wire. I think its Blackw/Red.
I am going to the scrap yard to get a new wire harness Saturday.
I'm sure you've checked all the wires, but I'd use a multi meter to eliminate burnt out wires and relays, even i you gotta do it one wire at a time.

I had to replace mine last year. If you get a new one add the relay. There is a write up in the archives. That is my set up right now. I checked the blk/red wire, and it is sending power back thru the harness so...........WTF!!!!!! I DO have the 12 volts going out of the relay as mark asked!!!! HELP I CANT DRIVE AT NIGHT.

I am assuming that there is 12 volts + on the Red/black there at the blue plug as well when the lights are on.
If so, then we can rule out the switch, aftermarket relay and everything between the switch, relay and the plug.
And then we would be looking at the dash harness.
So the next step is to confirm we have 12 volts on the red/black on both sides of the large blue plug with the lights on.

THANKS MARK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was NOT power on the front side of the harness, but there was power on the relay side of the plug.....HHHMMM I took a jumper wire and went from the 87 to the other side of the plug, and waa laa, lights work. The last question is how do I seperate the plugs for inspection? I got the lights working, but would like to see what the rest of the plug looks like. Thanks again Mark.

There is just a simple tab on the top of the plug. Press the tab in, and then pull the two ends apart. There is a retaining clip that holds one side of the harness to the dash cross member, but if you need a little more room, you can just grab it and pull the whole thing down.
BTW, that is the same plug that when I check light switches out after rebuilding and before sending them them out that I plug a spare harness into. That way I don't have to dis-assemble the dash every time I want to double check a switch.
