Scratch!!

well.. i live in alberta, and its just hovering above 0 degrees C. right now. I went to start up my car today and there was a loud scratch ... at least it sounded like that to me, and then i tried to start it up again and it was fine ..

?!?!

anyone know what this might be? and is it bad?? thx
