sad day... engine bay caught on fire
im really depressed right now, so ill make it quick..... i was on my way home from work, and everything cut out.. my engine died, lights shut off.. and my interior filled w/ smoke.... pulled over and my engine bay had caught fire.... so luckily i had a fire extingusher in the car...so i got the fire put out.... from what i saw at a quick glance, my injectors, fuel rails, microtech wiring, manifold, AN fittings, and vacuum lines are fried.... ill dig deeper tomarrow to assess further!!
heres the technical aspect... KEEP A FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES!!!! regardless if everything under your hood is new, old, whatever... it can happen to anyone!

That sucks but to be honest with you, it could've been a lot worse! You were smart for having the extinguisher with you. If you hadn't...all that work...burnt to the ground.
Good luck getting her back together.
Oh, and what started the fire? Any idea?

I can't believe some of you guys DON'T already have fire extinguishers. Even in a daily driver people should have a fire extinguisher. It's cheap insurance. I have two of them in my car. Jesse, sorry to hear about your fire. I hope it's not too big of a deal for you to fix.

I'm sorry to hear it bro. Figure out what needs to be repaired, and fix her up, you've got the skills to do it. It will take time, but bring her back to life.
And you didn't have a beautiful car, you still do have a beautiful car. It just needs to be repaired.
Keep us posted.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune Jessie. You'll just have to make it better than it was. That mess will clean up pretty easy and wiring and plumbing is really not that bad. You'll have it back to it's recent glory in not time.
If I was to guess, I'd say either an -an fitting came loose or one of the hose ends was not properly sealed during assembly.

sucks. I admire your car too.
Yah, and make sure you know how to use that fire extinguisher and able to use it quickly...some people will probably panic and forget how to use it. . . .it may sound dumb, but it's a fact.
