s6 alternator question
So here's whats up.
Recently an alternator died in my 87 TII. I had an s5 alternator in it for a few months until recently an IC regulator in it died, cause it stopped charging. So I remembered I had a s6 (3rd gen) alternator I bought from silverrotor laying around so I installed it. So I install it and plug everything up and I get no charge. A plug from s5 fits new alternator so I pressumed it all should work. Then I tried reversing the two wires that connect to the back of alternator (labeled L and S in the service manual) and It started charging. Is it possible that the L and S wires are reversed on the s6 alternator? Now I'm gettiong constant charge about 15V-15.2V. Is this too much?
