Smile S5 Vert Questions

I have a 90' s5 Vert, been wanting to buy some coilovers for it. yeah yeah its a vert dont waste my time right, . But anyway on to my quesion, Do i need to search for Vert specific made coilovers or can i use the same coilovers that i would buy for a hardtop ? Everything i see for sell doesnt say weather or not it can or cannot be used to a Vert. Help!

Though I have an S4 'vert, in this respect there shouldn't be much difference between them. The suspension geometry & connections don't differ between the 'verts and the coups- the 'verts are however a solid bit heavier than their coupe counterparts (at least the NA ones- turbo coups get closer in weight), and as such in many cases have beefed-up suspension (I believe they shared it with the turbos, along with things like the 5-lug wheels, 4-piston brakes, etc.). Almost any aftermarket springs, shocks, etc. are stiffer and heavier (in capability) than the stock setup, so you shouldn't have to worry about using coup coilovers on a 'vert...

You should be able to use any FC coilover on the vert. I have a set of Tein flex coilovers on mine.
