There are many guys on here from Birmingham (sp?). you can also click on BNR Supercars and have your friend visit Bryan.

You gotta ask your friend how he'd figure on the 250 hp on the Accent? Only way to get that much power from a Huyndai is if he put on a VTEC sticker or another motor on the back...VTEC sticker is a much easier mod...

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahah ahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahaha hahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahha!!!!!!!!!!! !!

Well.. it could..

no.. wait...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!

Ok, now that I've got that out of my.. no.. wait a minute..

HA!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Ok, I think I'm really good this time.

It's not even CLOSE to being a competition. The S5 N/A's would walk all over that car.

Matter of fact, I'd put money on a 12A FB with intake and exhaust (or heck, maybe just intake).. over the accent. You know.. the 12A FB, with 100hp stock? yeah that one. I'd take that over the accent. Matter of fact.. stock vs stock, I think I'd take the 1979 RX-7.

And on another note..

HA!!!

i just want this guy to see a real sports car, i dont think he realizes that just because he can keep up with modded civics doesnt mean he can outrun a stock 7..

(edit) its like i told him the other day, the third gen 7 when it came out was classed with a corvette in car and driver, not with a civic like his car is. im not exactly sure what a second gen 7 was classed with.

Slingo listen first things first;
You should be insulted that this dude even ask, no even thought of racing you. Do you realize that by him asking to race you its showing he has no respect for your car and probably thinks its complete ****. A 2001 hyundia accent isint even remotly close to an rx7 in any way shape or form execpt that they are both cars.
Put it this way dude this post depressed the hell outa me cuz it makes ppl think that us 2nd gen owners are out there racing such **** boxes as Hyundia accents and ****. Please itd be a complete joke racing this dude dont even bother. Its not even a question youd kill him with a TII not to mention you could beat him with any rx7 model ever made

forgive me for even asking the question at hand, but the main reason i did this was to show HIM that EVERYONE that knows what an rx-7 can do knows he would be beaten not just my opinion that he would have his a$$ handed to him, since he obviously doesnt respect my opinion in anything,

on a lighter more fun note, it would be rather nice to watch him get absolutely stomped by a N/A FC and it would be even better watching the turbo blow away from him.

personally i would much rather race something that had more than 100HP stock

yeah defently try racing like integras, civics, accords, type r's Nissan 240's, most Japanese SPORTS cars when you get your car (Its always cool to see an rx7 racing other fellow Japanese car) **** even go for the mustangs, comaros to see what your car is made of. Just go for sports cars like yours. And dude i saw you that you mentioned maybe even a 3rd gen, well than if you get one youll be faster than most cars on the road and wont even have to worry about much at all

Well, here is an Accent that would rip you a new one.

Specs here.

Video here.

It ran a 12.01 @ 133mph with plenty of wheel spin at it's first meet and has since run some high 10sec passes.

470HP, his has 127 or so at the flywheel, i did mention that his car is a stock 5 speed 1.6L with a K&N Filter and his muffler removed, cats still in place. so its probably close to 127 at the flywheel...

another thing to realize is that that is a pure race car, gutted of every creature comfort, and thats not the kind of car i'm talking about...

well spoken assassin! I only disagree on one point. You should race him ....and smash the **** out of him. Only race him once and make sure you fuc$ing destroy him. Then make sure you throw it in his face every damn day! This **** really pisses me off. Go kill that piece of ****!

Yeah, sorry. It should be obvious that an Accent wouldn't stand a chance against a TII. There's just no way. I think it's funny that anyone could actually believe anything different.

Oh well.

i would race him now if i had my car, but i dont have the money to buy one yet, and im tired of hearing him rattle, and several people have offered to teach him a lesson, so hopefully soon someone from bham will read this thread and setup a time and date and remind him whats faster

I Live in B' ham

What does his accent look like? I doubt i would go get my car out of the warehouse to race him. But if i were to see him i would prolly race him (nah it wouldnt even be a race).

I have a 88 Ae..mainly stock. Whenever i get my money saved up(which seems like never) I will let bryan (BNR) do all the turbo work. Bryans cars would destroy a accent. There are a few bad *** rx7s around her that would toatlly kill a lot of fast cars..or at least hang with them...so a accent would be no prob. Stepen has 95 RX7 that runs low 12's last time it was running...it is still beig worked on. There are more but those are the only ones i know well...Anthony also has a TII that runs like 13's or somewhere in there.

I understand whoevers point it was to not run the accent..it just really isnt right. Like i said i wont go get my car and try to find him...but if i were to run into him on the streets i would speed up quickly...that is basically all we would have to do...if he only has done what you said..which is mainly nothing.
well enough rambling.

that is some pretty funny $hit. An Accent? what a slow piece of junk! my 91 NA vert (heaviest Rex made!) would kill him. that is really funny.

I would laugh my *** off just because he put a intake on a Accent. Pull his exhaust off? I wouldn't be able to get over the fact that he put an intake on a Accent. This guy is obviously a moron. Come to think about it I would laugh at him for driving an Accent. It's gotta be a joke, right?

heh, its just a grey accent GS with the stock tiny spoiler on it, nothing really special about it... it has the little walmart windshield washer fluid spouts with the blue leds in them on it, and thats about it...you could probably recognize it by its sound, its obnoxious / dumb.

and the reason that i want to run him is so he will shut up, not because i think that an rx-7 is even remotely in the same league of car as an accent

Send him a link to this page so we can rip him apart. That kid deserves a punch in his face for disrespecting the rotary

Ok ok that dude that posted the drag Accent...That car is fu**in cool
Itd be funny to make one like that except a sleeper so maybe an unsuspecting person would race him not knowing there was 450 hp under the hood, like maybe someone here right now...

Ok, here is what you should do....

Challenge the guy to a race for Title to the car tomorrow at 12 Noon.

Then, tomorrow at 11AM, ask to take a TII for a test drive, race the guy, then return and buy the TII with the Hyundai as a trade in.

Good plan?

What kind of moron would take a Hyundai Accent as a trade-in for a TurboII? What's the resale on a Hyundai Accent after it's driven off the lot? Considering it probably broke something while driving out of the showroom, I'd guess pretty low.

We need to stop asking about racing people and just do it. RX-7s are amazing machines and we need to give the beat down to any ****** honda pretty boy with a muffler and body kit. My car cost $3000 with mods and will spank pretty much anything I come across on the highway here in maine. Camaros, Mustangs, Hondas, Acuras, whatever the ****.
