I've never had a grinding problem in any of my FC's.. but I've known friends that put Redline MT-90 in and it all but cured the problem. But, a transmission that grinds gears IS on its way out.. synthetic just postpones that.

MT-90 will be a better choice than synthetic. IMHO, sythentic provides to much lubrication and the snycros don't work as well. MT-90 is a great lubricant but still maintains a level of resistance that is crucial for a tranny.

Ok, let me start over. MT-90 has a friction coefficient that is not in other synthetics. This is important in manual transmissions as it will help the syncros function properly. Most synthetics or non synthetics lubricate to much and the transmission's ability to move from gear to gear suffers. Again, sorry if I was confusing. If what I said is still unclear, my opinion (through racing and rebuilding transmissions) is that MT-90 is a superior product to any other tranny fluid I am aware of.
